About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Le Petit Chef. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Lead and manage a team of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet customer demands.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide training and guidance to staff on job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and quality control standards.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet our high standards of quality control, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers.
  • Assembly and Delivery: Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys to ensure that they are presented to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods, with a physically demanding role.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication skills, client focus, flexibility, and team player with a high level of dependability.
