Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Arctic Glacier Inc. as a Refrigeration B Operator. This is a key role that requires a strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Operations: Coordinate the operation of building systems, including heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air-conditioning.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial freon refrigeration systems, as well as other equipment as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with outside contractors and vendors, including the fire department and inspectors, to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Facility Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of daily refrigeration system readings and logbook entries.
  • General Maintenance: Perform general building maintenance tasks, including light carpentry, painting, and repair of minor electrical devices.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations to ensure employee and facility safety.
Requirements
  • Certification: Possess and maintain a minimum of Refrigeration Operator "B" Certification.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Skills: Comfortable working with power tools, excellent communication skills, and exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Availability: Willing to work evenings and weekends as required.
