We are seeking a strategic leader to enhance cybersecurity and sustainability within Fraser Health. As Senior Director of Cybersecurity, you will be accountable for establishing and advising on governance and industry best practices, overseeing the evaluation and implementation of information security tools, and providing guidance and leadership to staff.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and advance information security within healthcare by assessing security threats and risks associated with Fraser Health's operations. The role combines responsibilities for information security and data stewardship, recognizing the need to manage and protect data as a key enterprise asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute an enterprise-wide information security program, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Establish policies, procedures, standards, definitions, and guidelines to ensure organizational information security strategy and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a program to inform executive and business unit leadership of top security risks and overall security health.
  • Establish, implement, and deliver communications and training initiatives to increase information security awareness.
  • Collaborate with the data privacy officer to support the inclusion of data privacy requirements.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Information Security or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10-15 years of experience in progressively more responsible information security leadership roles, including 5 years in a health services systems environment.
  • Active Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar security certification.
