Senior Tax Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Consultant to lead our tax team in providing exceptional services to clients.
About the Role:This is a senior-level position that requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. As a Senior Tax Consultant, you will be responsible for leading client engagements, reviewing tax sections, prioritizing workflow, and applying tax regulations to client situations.
You will also conduct tax research, provide proactive tax planning alternatives, and resolve tax issues with staff, partners, CRA, and clients. Additionally, you will manage, train, and delegate work to tax staff based on complexity, availability, and deadline considerations.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead team on client engagements for tax-related activities.
- Complete review of tax sections for working paper files, including corporate and personal tax returns, charity T2s, and information returns.
- Prioritize workflow, utilizing tax seniors and other staff, and recognizing and implementing more efficient work processes.
- Apply Income Tax Act and other tax regulations to given client situations.
- Conduct tax research as required and provide proactive tax planning alternatives.
- Resolve tax issues with staff, partners, CRA, and clients for timely completion.
- Manage, train, and delegate work to tax staff based on complexity, availability, and deadline considerations.
- 5 years post-In Depth tax practical experience with exposure to a broad range of client tax issues.
- Proven research, investigative, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in software programs, including Caseware, Caseview, Taxprep, and MS Office.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
