About the Role

The Licensed Optician will play a key role in delivering legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high-quality eyewear that exceeds our customers' expectations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Welcome all customers and set clear expectations.
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen.
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensure finished eyewear meets standards & customer needs.
  • Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions.
  • Accurately and thoroughly use technology despite time pressure and customer volume, possess exceptional product knowledge, and use appropriate tools.
  • Be proactive, explore root causes of issues, think forward, ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded, and drive solutions.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities.
  • Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
  • Take pride in store appearance, help keep the store clean, attractive, and organized.
  • Inform management of safety opportunities; demonstrate safe work practices.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, with a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • State licensure.
  • Optical dispensing experience.
  • Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Awareness of current fashion trends.
  • Selling skills – ability to use and carry an iPAD/tablet.
  • Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
  • Embracing new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous customer service and retail experience.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
