We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at LEPCORE CONSTRUCTION LTD. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate Preparation: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Pre-qualification Submissions: Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present to clients, highlighting our company's capabilities and expertise.
- Blueprint Analysis: Read and analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and estimate costs.
- Computer Software: Operate CADD and other computer software systems to prepare estimates and manage project data.
- Estimate Reports: Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms to clients and stakeholders.
- Contract Management: Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure projects are completed within budget.
- Supply and Contractor Management: Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Communication: Liaise and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to discuss changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in residential construction.
- Work Setting: Estimating.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Estimating packages, AutoCAD.
- Personal Suitability: Organized, team player.
