About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at LEPCORE CONSTRUCTION LTD. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Preparation: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Pre-qualification Submissions: Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present to clients, highlighting our company's capabilities and expertise.
  • Blueprint Analysis: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure that estimates are accurate and comprehensive.
  • Computer Software: Operate CADD and other computer software systems to prepare estimates and manage project data.
  • Estimate Reports: Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms to clients and stakeholders.
  • Quantity Take-off: Utilize quantity take-off procedures to ensure accurate estimates and minimize errors.
  • Contract Management: Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure that projects are completed within budget.
  • Supply and Contractor Management: Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors, ensuring that our company has access to the best resources.
  • Communication: Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
