Job Summary:

Bureau Veritas Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Digestion Technician to join our team in Vancouver. As a key member of our Geochemistry Laboratory, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of client samples for analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming samples in priority sequence, ensuring fast and accurate results.
  • Digest samples according to written procedure, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Prepare and document reagents according to written procedure, adhering to strict protocols.
  • Perform quality checks at all stages of sample handling, halting production as necessary and reporting issues to the Supervisor.
  • Operate, maintain, and ensure calibration records are kept for equipment, following written instructions.
  • Comply with occupational health and safety legislation, BV Group Policies and Procedures, and ISO standards applicable to the Digestion Technician position.
  • Act in a safe and professional manner, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

  • College or technical diploma with relevant experience in a similar laboratory environment.
  • Familiarity with WHMIS.
  • Excellent English, verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizing, and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to details and workplace/work-related safety.
  • Able to work independently and as a part of a team.

The salary range for this role is $20-$24, depending on shift and work location.
