Job Title: Digestion Technician

Bureau Veritas Canada is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Digestion Technician to join our Geochemistry team.

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for performing duties related to the digestion and Whole Rock fusion of client samples for analysis. The successful candidate will ensure fast and accurate processing of incoming samples, prepare and document reagents, and operate and maintain equipment according to written procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process incoming samples in priority sequence, ensuring timely and accurate results.
  • Digest samples according to written procedures, with attention to detail and quality control.
  • Prepare and document reagents, maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Operate and maintain equipment, ensuring calibration records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Comply with occupational health and safety legislation, BV Group policies, and ISO standards.
  • Act in a safe and professional manner, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements:
  • College or technical diploma with relevant experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Familiarity with WHMIS and excellent English, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizing, and time management skills, with attention to detail and workplace safety.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to delivering exceptional quality and service.
