About the Opportunity

This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, documenting, and directing resident needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences, and internal staff. Leadership skills are essential in providing guidance to health services staff and overseeing quality health services respecting client rights.

You will work closely with existing management and health services teams to promote communication and compliance to policies and procedures. Administering prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice is also a key responsibility.

Maintaining accurate and complete documentation and reporting standards is crucial. You will apply dressings and treatments according to physician orders and policy while assisting with supervision and evaluation of job performance and behavior of other health care staff.

About You

To succeed in this role, you need:

  • Registration with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body;
  • The ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays;
  • Valid CPR & First Aid Certification;
  • A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening;
  • Previous course in Alzheimer's and Dementia Care (an asset);
  • Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or senior living environments (an asset);
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.

Estimated Salary Range: $33.37-$35.87/hour
