About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Resource Teacher to join our team at the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board. As a Special Education Resource Teacher, you will play a critical role in supporting students with special needs and providing inclusive education to all students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and students to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide instructional support to students with special needs, including individual and small group instruction
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Participate in the development and implementation of inclusive education strategies and programs
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support for students
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience
  • Special Education certification or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
