About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Architect to lead our Market and Counterparty Credit Risk solutions team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development of innovative risk management solutions.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions that meet the complex business requirements of our clients. You will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to develop end-to-end technical architectures, ensuring seamless integration and efficient delivery of projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expertise on software designs, system architecture, and solution-oriented technologies to the SA team and other IT staff.
  • Communicating with clients and analyzing business requirements and processes, making recommendations, and leading in shaping future plans in (SA).
  • Overseeing project outcomes, including hardware and software design, ensuring each phase meets overall requirements.
  • Translating business requirements into solutions that support compliance, governance, corporate security, and policy library technology strategy, focusing on architecture blueprints, capabilities models, and proven enterprise patterns.
  • Helping drive the organization towards targeted architecture states and improving the maturity of the architecture practice.
  • Developing ongoing knowledge of current and emerging technologies.
  • Participating in day-to-day execution of the architecture strategy.
  • Maintaining a plan to address gaps between current and target state architectures.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong experience with Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk concepts and processes.
  • Strong experience with Capital Markets trade lifecycle.
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or an equivalent analytic-intensive field.
  • Strong experience in information technology development, design, and architecture roles.
  • Familiarity developing architectures on large data projects and proven results with extensive programs from initiation to implementation.
  • Familiarity with developing various enterprise technologies and frameworks, including big data and No-SQL data stores, distributed computing, datalakes, and lakehouses, service integrations, and service development architectures.
  • Experience with leading programs and projects involving the integration of different types of technologies and platforms.
  • Knowledge of architecture aspects, including business architecture, data architecture, and cyber security architecture.

This role is based in Toronto, Canada, with a 37.5-hour workweek and full-time employment type.
