Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our Bookstore team as a Sales and Customer Service Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities- Process sales transactions and handle customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including shelving and stocking merchandise
- Assist with receiving and processing inventory shipments
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer needs in a timely and professional manner
- Work effectively in a team environment and contribute to a positive and productive store atmosphere
- Certificate in marketing, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- One year of recent and relevant experience in a retail environment, including basic knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and operations
- Working knowledge of general accounting and financial management practices
- Intermediate level computer knowledge with some spreadsheet applications
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Good interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks with numerous interruptions while ensuring accuracy
- Ability to lift and handle heavy boxes on a regular basis
- Demonstrates valuing diversity
This is a full-time position that requires moderate to heavy lifting and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
