Join Our Team as an Electrical Estimator

Borea Construction is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review proposal specifications and drawings to identify project requirements.
  • Analyze contract conditions and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with external consultants to develop preliminary engineering plans.
  • Prepare and send technical questions and answers to clients.
  • Develop project plans and schedules, including methods and optimization of work sequences.
  • Prepare and send tender documents to qualified suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Analyze bid content and extract quantities using company tools.
  • Attend coordination meetings and site visits to evaluate project difficulty.
  • Estimate project costs using company software.
  • Prepare project overheads, including supervision, general conditions, and other expenses.
  • Communicate with external consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers during the bidding process.
  • Participate in bid closing and transfer meetings with construction teams.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in estimating.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Interest in the renewable energy industry.
  • Knowledge of MS Project, Excel, and Bid2win (an asset).
  • Intellectual curiosity, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Versatility, autonomy, and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to manage pressure and stress.
