About the RoleAs a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for examining patients, taking their histories, ordering diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures, and advising patients on healthcare, health promotion, and disease prevention. You will also be expected to consult with other medical practitioners, act as a patient advocate, prescribe and administer medications and treatments, and report births, deaths, and contagious diseases as required.
QualificationsTo be eligible for this position, you must be licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia and certified with the College of Family Physicians of Canada. You must also be a member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
About BridgewaterBridgewater is a charming town located along the LaHave River, surrounded by coastal beaches and fishing communities. With a population of over 8,500, it is the largest town in the region and boasts a diverse local economy. The town offers a range of activities, including surfing, cycling, hiking, and stand-up paddleboarding, as well as access to craft breweries and wineries.
