About This Opportunity

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including local walk-in clinics, inpatient rotations, and nursing homes. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare providers
  • Conduct routine check-ups, diagnose and treat illnesses, and prescribe medications as needed
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices
Qualifications
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia
  • Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association
  • Current ACLS and BCLS certifications
