Compensation Package

The salary for this role is $20.81 per hour. In addition, you can expect a profit sharing plan, telemedicine, group insurance, and a pension plan with company contributions. We also offer an employee assistance program and an annual flexible reimbursement program.

About the Role

We are seeking an Operational Labourer to join our team at our Scarborough facility. As an Operational Labourer, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the manufacturing facility. You will also perform general material handling duties, assist machine operators, and complete other tasks as assigned.

  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety procedures and 5S standards.
  • Performing general material handling duties, including feeding stock into machines and ensuring they are continually kept full.
  • Assisting machine operators with set-ups, setting feed guides, and clearing jam-ups.
  • Consulting with operators on order sequences and printing load tags.
  • Checking sheets for de-lamination, off-register defects, and other quality issues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to read and write English.
  • The ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, as well as mathematical measurements.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and computer literacy skills.
  • The ability to work professionally under pressure, with good time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to cope with stress and show initiative.
