Industrial Systems Engineer with Nuclear Facility Experience

About the Role:

Morson Canada is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Systems Engineer to join our team. This exciting opportunity will see you working on the safe storage and decommissioning project at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain operating procedures for the nuclear facility, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and optimize safety and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance performance and reliability.
  • Analyze data to inform technical evaluations and recommendations, and provide advice to stakeholders on equipment selection, installation, and maintenance.
  • Assess and evaluate problems in assigned areas, proposing solutions and submitting them for approval.
  • Provide training and support to staff on new procedures and technologies, and stay up-to-date with industry developments to inform future projects.
  • Recommend research and development programs to improve equipment and system performance, and collaborate with external organizations to facilitate these initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree in engineering, with DE Qualified as per OPG Qual 33685 being an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of physics, chemistry, metallurgy, mathematics, electricity, engineering, and economics to evaluate and propose improvements to processes, equipment, and systems.
  • Experience in the design, development, or operation of a nuclear facility, or in an industrial environment associated with the design, development, operation, or maintenance of industrial systems and equipment.
  • A strong understanding of English to prepare clear and concise reports and recommendations both verbally and in writing.
