Job Title: Senior Technical Engineer

Location: Pickering, ON (Hybrid, 2 days remote)

Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a skilled Senior Technical Engineer to join our team at Rodan Energy Solutions. As a Senior Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing specifications, procurement requisitions, and providing technical services during field installation.
  • You will also provide technical guidance, solve problems, and coordinate technical work in support of the design, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of nuclear facilities.
  • Your expertise will be invaluable in managing engineering and design activities of multi-disciplinary projects from concept to commissioning in Electrical and I&C areas.
  • Protecting the station design basis and adhering to nuclear governance with an emphasis on safety as the overriding priority is essential.

Qualifications:

  • A Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the Province of Ontario is required.
  • You must have a Bachelor's degree in electrical and Instrumentation engineering.
  • At least 5-10 years of engineering experience, including 2 years of Nuclear Projects' Detailed Design experience, is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of physics, chemistry, metallurgy, mathematics, electricity, engineering, and economics is required to understand the operation of nuclear facilities.
  • You must possess excellent communication skills to prepare clear and concise reports and recommendations both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience working with a broad range of electrical and instrumentation areas in projects, such as Medium and Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and Cables, Plant Instrumentation and Controls, Calibration for Process Systems instrumentation equipment, Applications of Software, Cyber Security, and Human Factors Engineering, is desired.
  • Leading or performing Nuclear Projects Design assignments to prepare detailed design documents, Analysis and Reports, Scope of Work, Procurement Specifications (Equipment and Services), reviewing Vendors' proposals, and Vendor's designs and documents in electrical and instrumentation areas is necessary.
  • You must be available to work more than 44 hours per week and have good understanding of the client's risk-based Engineering Change Control process.
  • A Standard Security clearance is required to be eligible to work with the client.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
