About the Role

The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Airside Vehicle Operator Program (AVOP) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of airport activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify AVOP correspondences within RAPs 2.0 to ensure accurate communication with signing authorities.
  • Oversee and follow up with internal and external signing authorities regarding infractions and subsequent suspensions.
  • Build and maintain documentation on individual's infraction history.
  • Coordinate with Airside Safety Officers on incident reports, infractions issued, and appeals.
  • Develop and implement AVOP-related processes and procedures to support the program.
  • Provide guidance to AVOP holders and signing authorities on Airport Traffic Directives, procedures, and terms and conditions.
  • Analyze infraction-related data and program oversight and health data.
  • Monitor infraction trends to identify areas of concern.
  • Maintain and issue call signs for vehicles operating on the maneuvering area at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
  • Draft routine correspondence for the Manager, Airside Vehicle Operator Program.
  • Assist with validating information related to monthly AVOP Chargebacks and delivering training for AVOP presentations.
  • Establish and maintain a Bring Forward System to follow up on correspondence and reports.
  • Administer AVOP written examinations.
Requirements
  • Secondary school or combination of aviation-related experience.
  • 3 years' experience working with regulations in a regulated aviation operation environment.
  • 5 years of experience in airport operations or airline operations.
  • Understanding of TP312, CARs, and Airport Traffic Regulations.
  • Possess an AVOP permit with a clean AVOP history.
  • Possess a valid Provincial Driver's License (class G).
  • Obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
