Job Title: Airport Operations Coordinator

The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is a dynamic organization that operates Toronto Pearson International Airport, a global leader in airport performance, customer care, and sustainability. As an Airport Operations Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the airport.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate overnight activities and administration of the AVOP Program
  • Review and verify AVOP correspondences within RAPs 2.0
  • Oversee and follow up with internal and external signing authorities regarding infractions and suspensions
  • Build and maintain documentation on individual's infraction history
  • Coordinate with Airside Safety Officers on incident reports, infractions, and appeals
  • Develop and maintain AVOP-related processes and procedures
  • Provide guidance to AVOP holders and signing authorities on Airport Traffic Directives and procedures
  • Analyze infraction data and program oversight
  • Maintain and issue call signs for vehicles operating on the maneuvering area
  • Draft routine correspondence for the Manager, Airside Vehicle Operator Program
  • Assist with validating information for monthly AVOP Chargebacks and delivering training
  • Establish and maintain a Bring Forward System for correspondence and reports
  • Administer AVOP written examinations
Requirements:
  • Secondary school or combination of aviation-related experience
  • 3 years' experience working with regulations in a regulated aviation operation environment
  • 5 years of experience in airport operations or airline operations
  • Understanding of TP312, CARs, and Airport Traffic Regulations
  • AVOP permit with a clean AVOP history
  • Valid Provincial Driver's License (class G)
  • Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level
