Food Service Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Mucho Burrito. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports.
- Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that their experience is positive and memorable.
- Work Schedules: Establish work schedules, ensuring that staff are adequately staffed to meet the demands of the restaurant.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment with a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Credential Recognition: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Mentorship Programs: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
- Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth.
- Awareness Training: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Cultural Competency Training: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Hiring Policies: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
- Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
