As a key member of the Corporate Client Group (CCG) Finance team at RBC, you will play a pivotal role in the realization of CCG objectives through the structuring, delivery, and management of bank debt for a targeted customer base. Your expertise will be instrumental in meeting annually established targets for loan-derived revenues and returns by providing advice to partners on optimizing the use of lending in connection with broader RBC relationship goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support CCG relationship managers in structuring, delivering, closing, and monitoring syndicated and bilateral loan transactions under the direction of the Director CCG Finance, including credit submissions and transaction presentations.
  • Engage with RBC partners and functions, including Group Risk Management, Private Banking, RBC Investments, Capital Markets, and specialized teams in Commercial Financial Services.
  • Collaborate with Group Risk Management to ensure proper alignment with credit processes and client expectations.
  • Provide research, analysis, and data to support CCG advice on the optimal amount of bank debt required to meet strategic objectives with each client relationship.
  • Participate in the national team of CCG Finance underwriters committed to delivering quality credit products to RBC clients and targets.
  • Support Director CCG Finance and CCG Finance colleagues in providing analysis and advice on risk and return associated with loan transactions contemplated as part of client strategies.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Knowledge of credit, credit metrics, credit structuring, and the ability to work through Loan Agreements and other legal documents.
  • Advanced skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the ability to source data/research.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, meet time-sensitive deadlines, prioritize work, and multitask responsibilities while working on multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA, CPA, or CFA.
  • Work experience in corporate lending/corporate finance.
  • Trained in credit and accounting with the ability to manage complex concepts.
