Job Summary:

The Child Care Worker Assistant will provide support to our early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to multitask, and have a strong commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Assist early childhood educators in keeping records and submitting written observations
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliability and punctuality
Working Conditions:

The Child Care Worker Assistant will work in a daycare centre or nursery school setting, with a team of 3-4 people. The successful candidate will be required to work a 40-hour week, with opportunities for overtime.
