Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our team, responsible for leading the bid process from opportunity identification to proposal submission. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the bid process, proposal writing, and contract negotiation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end bid process, including reviewing bid opportunities for fit, qualification development, and proposal submission
  • Develop and execute bid strategies that align with the company's goals and client requirements
  • Develop compelling and persuasive bid content, including executive summaries, value propositions, pricing models, and technical responses
  • Coordinate with various teams, including estimating, procurement, technical, legal, and finance to ensure all aspects of a bid are addressed
  • Work with pricing teams to develop competitive pricing strategies that align with bid requirements and profitability targets
  • Manage bidding resources and timeliness to ensure on-time and high-quality proposal submissions
  • Participate in negotiation sessions to secure favorable terms and conditions
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, regulations, and industry standards
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate bid documentation, including bid files, records of communication, and pricing information
  • Monitor and evaluate bid performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Coordinate and facilitate bid review meetings, ensuring key stakeholders provide input and address concerns or issues

Requirements

  • Have a degree or diploma in business administration, finance, facilities management, a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and construction experience
  • Experience in managing bids for complex projects or large-scale contracts
  • Demonstrated success in winning business through effective bid/tender management
  • Strong understanding of the bid process, proposal writing, development, and contract negotiation
  • Keen eye, attention to detail, and passion for delivering high-quality work
  • Flexible and open to changing priorities and multi-tasking simultaneously within compressed time frames
  • Well-versed with Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
