About the Role

Bombardier Defense is seeking a highly skilled Senior Professional, Project Bidding and Proposal Management to join our team. As a key member of our engineering and project management team, you will be responsible for leading the bid and proposal phase for missionized aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the engineering and project focal for missionized aircraft in the bid and proposal phase.
  • Represent engineering with respect to programs and interface with client technical/program office representatives and suppliers.
  • Develop schedules, milestones, and estimate budgets for technical activities to meet customer requests.
  • Lead and drive the involvement and inputs from multidisciplinary stakeholders to find solutions to technical roadblocks, risks, and challenges.
  • Ensure that all technical activities are harmonized and that the delivery of all requirements is done as per the schedule.
  • Coordinate engineering resources to execute on the plan and identify risks and facilitate the resolution of issues.
  • Communicate with stakeholders (customer, management, team, resources, supplier) to ensure solid alignment and coordination.
  • Be accountable for the submission of all deliverables.
  • Manage schedule, facilitate, and coordinate key milestones activities in support of program/project (internal and external).
  • Responsible to engage and coordinate supplier activities during the bidding phase.
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in engineering and/or technical project management in the aerospace industry.
  • Excellent understanding and relevant experience in aircraft product development from conceptual design to aircraft certification.
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel to generate and give presentations to various levels in the company; strong skills in MS Projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, and preferred knowledge of special mission equipment.
  • Knowledge of ITAR regulations and previous experience in government and/or military flight operations exposure would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel and work extended hours when required.
