Senior Account Executive, Enterprise Technology Communications Specialist

This Senior Account Executive position is an exciting opportunity to propel your career in strategic communications and join the Technology practice in Canada as a key player in one of our largest Global Technology brands within Edelman.
We are seeking a dynamic and talented communications professional to join our team as a Senior Account Executive, working in our Technology sector. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in earned media, message development, event management, as well as working knowledge of the consumer technology and B2B categories.
About the RoleYou will be given the opportunity to support communications for one of the most consequential brands in the world, helping to navigate the future of AI, cloud, gaming, and more. As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for demonstrating an understanding of the Quebec news and media landscape and the ability to think through how best to pitch a client's story to shrinking newsrooms.
The role also involves understanding key client information, including business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers, and competitors. You will provide client service administration support; attend meetings, handle scheduling logistics, and draft agendas and recaps.
- Research, compile, and analyze the media landscape as it pertains to technology and business influencers and outlets.
- Write, edit, and proofread materials including press releases, pitch letters, fact sheets, and client correspondence.
- Build lists and pitch media.
- Commit to continuous learning through internal and external training opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will need 1-3 years of related experience in earned media or communications experience working on enterprise technology, gaming, gadgets, or consumer technology client files. Excellent knowledge of the media landscape in Quebec is essential, as well as media relations experience and an understanding of how to compile and showcase media results with proactive analysis of message pull-through, tone of coverage, etc.
A solid grasp of all basic public relations tools and how they affect the client is required, along with experience using media monitoring tools and conducting coverage analysis. Fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments, with the ability to apply experience and initiative to develop appropriate media strategies, is also necessary.
Excellent writing skills across various formats and media are a must, as well as great references from past employers. Fluency in both French and English, and a deep understanding of the nuances of Quebecois culture, are also highly valued.
What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
