The Anishinabek Employment & Training Services is seeking a qualified Child Care Professional to provide protection and care of children by performing duties of Alternative Care and Adoption as required.
About the RoleThis position involves providing support and services to children, youth, individuals, and families in accordance with provisions of the Child and Family Services Act, Ministry Regulations, and Standards. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the well-being and safety of clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide alternative care and adoption services to children and families.
- Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement case plans.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify client needs.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to meet client needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum two-year Human Services Worker Diploma or equivalent experience.
- A three-year BSW is preferred but not required.
- A minimum two-years experience working with Anishinabek children, youth, individuals, and families.
- Experience in Child Welfare is an asset.
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Search and vulnerable sector search.
- The ability to work flexible hours and travel regularly.
In return for your skills and experience, we offer a competitive salary range of $30.93 to $40.36 per hour, along with 32.5 hours of work per week and opportunities for professional growth and development.
