At Anishinabek Employment & Training Services, we are seeking a skilled Child Welfare Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing protection and care to children by performing duties of Alternative Care and Adoption as required.

Job Overview

This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly wage range of $30.93 to $40.36. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work 32.5 hours per week and make a positive impact on the lives of Anishinabek children, youth, individuals, families, and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Alternative Care and Adoption services in accordance with the Child and Family Services Act, Ministry Regulations, and Standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
Requirements
  • A minimum two-year Human Services Worker Diploma.
  • A three-year BSW is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience working with Anishinabek children, youth, individuals, families, and communities.
  • Possession of a Class G Driver's License with $1 million liability insurance.
  • Candidates without specific education qualifications but with an appropriate combination of experience and academic qualifications will also be considered.
