About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Continuous Improvement Coordinator Intern to join our Operational Excellence team at CAE. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving process enhancements and supporting the development of best practices.

Job Overview

This internship is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field to gain hands-on experience in continuous improvement and project coordination. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build and document business processes, develop continuous improvement tools, and support the coordination of data collection and performance tracking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support on the coordination and facilitation of workshops involving global teams.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to build and document business processes.
  • Collaborate in the development of continuous improvement tools and help drive continuous improvement in the organization.
  • Build various templates to standardize CI practices.
  • Support the coordination of the CI Community of Practice across the organization.
  • Support in the coordination of data collection, analysis, and performance tracking of indicators related to improvement projects.
  • Monitor and track project plan progress of the improvement initiatives.
  • Keep up-to-date performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proficiency in Office Suite.
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge (an asset).
  • Good communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Planning and coordination skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative and interpersonal skills.
  • A sense of responsibility and leadership.
  • Agility, flexibility, and adaptability to change.
  • Oral and written communication skills in French and English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field with at least 1 year of studies completed.
