The DC Department of Human Resources seeks a highly skilled Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the New Beginnings Youth Development Center. This individual will be responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating activities that promote the rehabilitation and development of youth committed to the Department's care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement rehabilitative programs in direct care, committed facilities, and provide specialized services and treatment appropriate to the needs of clients.
- Administer programs in a manner that ensures the safety and well-being of youth, while also promoting their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
- Collaborate with staff, stakeholders, and community partners to ensure the effective delivery of services and the achievement of program goals.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as best practices for secure care detention facilities.
- Specialized experience in youth rehabilitation services, program management, or a related field.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform program decisions.
The Program Manager will work primarily in an office setting, with occasional fieldwork in juvenile correctional facilities, community-based residential and/or non-residential settings.
