Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary regional rehabilitation team at Southern Health-Santé Sud. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing rehabilitation services to children and adult populations, using a client-centered, goal-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of rehabilitation services in various settings, including acute care, outpatient, long-term care, and community settings.
  • Assess, intervene, consult, and educate clients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Provide clinical supervision and training to students and provisional members, and participate in the education of other healthcare professionals.
  • Exercise independent judgment in determining work priorities, methods, and actions to address unusual matters.
Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba
  • Eligible for membership with Speech-Language and Audiology Canada
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and email/Outlook
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional working relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English and French)
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
  • Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality
  • Good work and attendance record
Conditions of Employment
  • Requires a valid Class 5 driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00
