About the Role

The University of Victoria is seeking a highly skilled Records Officer to join our team in the Office of the Registrar and Enrolment Management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting undergraduate students and their academic records in an assigned portfolio of Faculties.

You will provide interpretation of University Policy, assessment and implementation of regulations, and ensure the accuracy of academic student records. Your expertise in complex computerized student records systems will be invaluable in analyzing reports and anomalies in student records, identifying system problems, and proposing solutions and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support undergraduate students and their academic records in an assigned portfolio of Faculties
  • Provide interpretation of University Policy and assessment and implementation of regulations
  • Ensure the accuracy of academic student records
  • Analyze reports and anomalies in student records, identify system problems, and propose solutions and enhancements
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the University to provide exceptional student services
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline
  • 3 years of related experience in a complex computerized student records system
  • Recognized knowledge of software programs including degree audit, student record database, and administrative programs
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet firm deadlines
