Riverside Recycling Ltd. Welder Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Riverside Recycling Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and/or specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and ensure that welds meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet quality standards
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, physically demanding conditions, and a requirement for attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in welding or a related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing work conditions
