Job Title: Mining Account Manager

Join Toromont Cat, a leading provider of heavy equipment and services, as a Mining Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing business partnerships with mining clients, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

About the Role:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with mining clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Manage assigned territories, ensuring company goals and values are met, and customer satisfaction is high.
  • Collaborate with the Mining Team and Local Branch Manager to create and monitor sales objectives.
  • Assist Regional Branch with day-to-day site-specific requests, including asset management, CSA contracts, and parts planning.
  • Prospect for new mining customers, providing quotes, warranty details, and product information.
  • Coordinate quarterly mine site partnership meetings with Branch, mine management, and procurement teams.
  • Cooperate with engineering firms on related mine expansion projects.
  • Assist Mining Fleet Analysts with cost reduction projects and ensure Product Support Team has necessary resources.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in mining, mechanical, or geological engineering (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in the mining/mineral industry.
  • Solid knowledge of underground, surface mining equipment, and operations processes.
  • Technical industry knowledge related to mining processes or heavy mobile equipment.
  • Safety conscious, customer-centric, flexible, diplomatic, and collaborative with excellent presentation skills.
  • Influential leader with strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and nurture trusted and long-term partnerships internally, externally, and at all levels.
  • Analytical with enhanced listening and problem-solving skills, current on market conditions and business drivers.
  • Deliver results in a fast-paced, demanding, and deadline-driven environment.
  • Motivate others to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
  • Solid business and financial acumen with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Applications and other customer programs.
  • Bilingual (English & French) preferred.
  • Valid Driver's Licence and clean Driver's Abstract.
