Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager to join our team at SUBWAY RESTAURANT. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms to maintain accurate financial records
  • Conduct performance reviews to assess employee performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Cost products and services to ensure optimal pricing and profit margins
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations to maintain a safe and responsible work environment
  • Organize and maintain inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to protect employees and customers
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to secure competitive prices
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities to increase revenue streams
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote the restaurant and attract new customers
  • Lead and instruct individuals to achieve business objectives and improve employee performance
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery
Supervision

The Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager will supervise staff in various areas of responsibility, including kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and physically demanding conditions. They must be able to work under pressure and meet the demands of a busy restaurant.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be organized and efficient, and have a client-focused approach. They must also be accurate, dependable, and flexible, with excellent oral communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $1,200,000 per year, based on industry standards and market research.
