Job Title: Loss Prevention Associate

At Fast Retailing Co., we are seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Associate to join our team at the Rideau Center location. As a Loss Prevention Associate, you will play a critical role in implementing and executing all Loss Prevention initiatives and policies within your assigned location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and execute all Loss Prevention initiatives and policies within your assigned location in partnership with Store Management and the Area Loss Prevention Manager.
  • Assist Store Manager and Area Loss Prevention Manager with training of store personnel on Loss Prevention policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Detect and identify shoplifters and safely apprehend subjects or recover merchandise in accordance with laws and company policy.
  • Implement loss reduction initiatives in partnership with store teams and Loss Prevention senior management.
  • Utilize Loss Prevention technology equipment including CCTV, Access Control, EAS, and exception-based reporting systems.
  • Utilize the store RFID Inventory system and provide training to store team members.
  • Provide direct support for taking financial inventory and RFID-based cycle counts.
  • Regularly communicate with other LP team members and support cross-communication between store team members.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related experience in Loss Prevention or Asset Protection.
  • Full understanding of Canadian laws regarding apprehensions and Loss Prevention.
  • Provincially licensed is required for this role.
  • Experience in Internal Investigation and managing external apprehension programs.
  • Proven ability to interface with law enforcement and legal professionals.
  • Experience with Loss Prevention technology and methods.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems considered an asset.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Problem-solver and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of using MS Office and G-suite.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for entire shift and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular travel within assigned locations is required.
