Job Title: Loss Prevention Associate

UNIQLO is a global Japanese retail holding company that designs, manufactures, and sells clothing under multiple brands. We are seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Associate to join our team at the UNIQLO Rideau Center.

About the Role

The Loss Prevention Associate will be responsible for implementing and executing all Loss Prevention initiatives and policies within their assigned location. This includes protecting the company's assets, ensuring the safety of customers and employees, and detecting and preventing shoplifting and internal theft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and execute all Loss Prevention initiatives and policies within their assigned location.
  • Assist in training store personnel on Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
  • Detect and identify shoplifters and safely apprehend subjects or recover merchandise in accordance with Federal and Provincial laws.
  • Implement loss reduction initiatives in partnership with store teams and Loss Prevention senior management.
  • Utilize Loss Prevention technology equipment to identify and act on loss and safety issues within assigned location.
  • Provide direct support to assigned locations for taking of financial inventory and RFID-based cycle counts.
  • Regularly communicate with other LP team members and support cross-communication between store team members and other departments.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related experience in Loss Prevention or Asset Protection in a multi-unit capacity.
  • Full understanding of Canadian federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations regarding apprehensions, safety, and all aspects of Loss Prevention.
  • Proven ability to interface with law enforcement and legal professionals on both criminal and civil matters.
  • Experience with Loss Prevention technology and methods, including CCTV, covert surveillance, EAS, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and inventory accuracy principles considered an asset.
