Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert medical oncology services to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical oncology research and best practices to ensure the highest quality care for our patients.
- Participate in clinical trials and research studies to advance the field of medical oncology.
- Meet the requirements of credentialing by the Professional Advisory Committee of BC Cancer and be eligible for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia.
- Eligibility for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
- Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
