Family Law Lawyer Opportunity

Arlyn Recruiting is proud to partner with a well-established law firm in Kamloops to offer a unique opportunity for a junior Family Law Lawyer to join their busy family law department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain currency with case law, statutes, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide timely, comprehensive, and strategic legal advice and representation to clients.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and other professionals.
  • Effectively manage a high volume of family law matters.
  • Review and prepare materials, including pleadings, affidavits, briefs, and fact organization.
  • Docket time as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • A solid working knowledge of the Divorce Act, the Family Law Act, and other applicable statutes, as well as applicable court rules and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, superior organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle a high volume of work with tight deadlines and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with and driven by solving complicated problems while demonstrating creativity, thoughtfulness, diligence, and remaining calm under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and works well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Embracing the opportunity to build strong relationships and to work towards developing this area of practice for the firm and maintaining a practice of their own.
