About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Colgate-Palmolive team. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leading analytics projects within the Analytics Continuum, conceptualizing and building predictive modeling, simulations, and optimization solutions to address business questions or use cases.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead analytics projects within the Analytics Continuum
  2. Conceptualize and build predictive modeling, simulations, and optimization solutions to address business questions or use cases
  3. Apply machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to build inferential and predictive models allowing for scalable solutions to be deployed across the business
  4. Conduct model validations and continuous improvement of the algorithms, capabilities, or solutions built

Requirements

What you'll need

  1. Graduation/Masters in Statistics/Applied Mathematics/Computer Science
  2. 3+ years of experience in building data models and driving insights
  3. Hands-on experience on developing statistical models, such as regression, ridge regression, lasso, random forest, SVM, gradient boosting, logistic regression, K-Means Clustering, Hierarchical Clustering etc.
  4. Hands-on experience on coding languages Python (mandatory), R, SQL, PySpark, SparkR
  5. Knowledge of using GitHub, Airflow for coding and model executions
  6. Managing, transforming, developing statistical models for RGM/Pricing and/or Marketing Effectiveness and presenting insights decks to business
  7. Working knowledge on tools like Tableau, Domo, Power BI and web apps framework using plotly, pydash, sql
  8. Experience front facing Business teams (Client facing role) supporting and working with multi-functional teams in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with third-party data i.e., syndicated market data, Point of Sales, etc.
  2. Working knowledge of consumer packaged goods industry
  3. Knowledge of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
  4. Experience visualizing/presenting data for partners using: Tableau, DOMO, pydash, plotly, d3.js, ggplot2, pydash, R Shiny etc
  5. Willingness and ability to experiment with new tools and techniques
  6. Good facilitation and project management skills
  7. Ability to maintain personal composure and thoughtfully handle difficult situations.
  8. Knowledge of Google products (BigQuery, data studio, colab, Google Slides, Google Sheets etc)
