Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Bethel Happy Daycare Center Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed to support the educational and recreational activities of the children.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and crafts.
  • Support children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or guardians.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that promotes the well-being of children.
Requirements
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
Work Environment

The work environment is outdoors, noisy, non-smoking, and air-conditioned. The work setting is a daycare centre or nursery school.
