About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Gameplay Animator to join our team at Ascendion, a full-service digital engineering solutions company.

Position: Gameplay Animator

Location: Hybrid (Vancouver, BC)

Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Gameplay Animator to deliver high-quality animation assets that meet or exceed the animation quality bar for our projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for games and be up to date on the latest and greatest FPS/TPS titles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating high-quality, in-game animation assets
  • Providing support for pre-visualization animation when required
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure animation quality and consistency
  • Staying current with industry trends and best practices in animation

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience creating high-quality, in-game animation assets, preferably on a highly rated Shooter or Action title
  • Experienced in key frame and motion capture animation
  • Technical understanding of animation tools, pipelines, and technical systems
  • Experience working with locomotion trees and state-flow animation systems
  • Experience using Motion Builder and one or more of the following 3D applications: Maya (preferred), Max, or Softimage
  • Self-motivated, creative problem solver, team builder, subject matter expert
  • Rigging experience is a plus

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary range: $90,000 - $102,000 annually
