Gameplay Animator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Gameplay Animator to join our team. As a Gameplay Animator, you will be responsible for creating high-quality animation assets that meet or exceed the animation quality bar for our project. You will also be expected to provide support for pre-visualization animation when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce high-quality animation assets that adhere to technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Technical Animators, and Rigging Directors to define and refine animation tools, pipelines, and technical systems.
  • Work with Designers and Technical Animators to develop gameplay and design locomotion sets.
  • Develop pre-visualization animation.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Gameplay Animation team.
  • Provide continuous feedback and education to help teams with gameplay animation problem-solving.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience creating high-quality in-game animation assets, preferably on a highly rated Shooter or Action title.
  • Experience with keyframe and motion capture animation.
  • Technical understanding of animation tools, pipelines, and technical systems.
  • Experience working with locomotion trees and state-flow animation systems.
  • Experience using MotionBuilder and one or more 3D applications: Maya (preferred), Max, or Softimage.
  • Self-motivated, creative problem solver, team builder, and subject matter expert.
  • Rigging experience is a plus.
