Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Madoc, Ontario. As a key member of our HR team, you will provide day-to-day support, including payroll and benefits administration, while contributing to corporate HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR support to employees, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally and collaboratively with relevant departments.
  • Recruit and hire hourly employees, ensuring the site has the right people with the right skills in the right positions.
  • Contribute to corporate HR projects, programs, and initiatives, providing valuable insights and support to the broader HR team.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with corporate objectives.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they receive proper training and orientation.
  • Support site leadership on employee issues and challenges, and coach supervisors on the correct course of action.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance HR operations.
  • Administer and manage STD/LTD cases, support return-to-work planning, and facilitate communication between HR and plant management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Relevant three (3) years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the field of HR.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
