Job Summary:The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, hiring and training staff, and authorizing payments and returns. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff, including sales workers, apprentices, and design team members.
- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training.
- Authorize payments by cheque and returns of merchandise.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
- Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages in a timely and professional manner.
- Organize and maintain inventory, including stock levels and ordering.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of office and volunteer staff.
- 3-4 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
The Retail Store Supervisor will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Language:The primary language of work is English.
Hours of Work:40 hours per week.
