About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Salesperson to join our team at Lakeside Variety Store. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide expert advice to customers on products and services, ensuring a positive shopping experience
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including features, benefits, and pricing
  • Assist in visual merchandising and display of products
  • Conduct sales transactions through our e-commerce platform
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates
  • Greet customers and discuss their shopping needs, providing personalized recommendations
  • Maintain accurate sales records for inventory control
  • Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease
Work Environment

As a Retail Salesperson at Lakeside Variety Store, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of customer interaction. You will be required to work overtime during peak periods and may be required to lift heavy objects or stand for long periods.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in retail sales or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide exceptional customer service
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
