Job Title: Guest Services Agent

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Guest Services Agent to join our team at Fairmont Vancouver Airport. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional, friendly, and engaging service to guests, responding to their needs and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Greet, check-in, and settle accounts for guests, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience.
  • Assist guests with hotel facilities, providing information and recommendations to enhance their stay.
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures, and service standards to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery.
  • Take initiative to add a personalized touch to each guest's experience, promoting the hotel's facilities and services.
  • Promote the hotel's amenities and services, looking for opportunities to enhance a guest's stay through up-selling.

Requirements:

  • Service-focused personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and courteous under pressure.
  • Previous customer-related experience, preferably in a hospitality setting.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including overnight shifts.
  • Ability to handle cash effectively and accurately.
  • Experience working with Opera Cloud or a related system.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset.

Visa Requirements:

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with a valid work permit or visa. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization in Canada.
