Job Summary:

The University Health Network is seeking a Clinical Research Study Assistant to join our team. As a Clinical Research Study Assistant, you will be responsible for coordinating efforts in an international project, communicating with international collaborators, organizing meetings, creating data collection templates, and performing literature searches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate clinical research studies, including identifying and screening potential subjects, obtaining informed consent, and conducting pre-testing and administering questionnaires or other data collection tools.
  • Plan, implement, and coordinate all aspects of data collection and source documentation.
  • Execute study-related administrative tasks, including collection of regulatory documents and ethics submissions.
  • Liaise with sponsors for monitoring and audits.
  • Coordinate patient visits and data entry into databases.

Requirements:

  • Community College diploma in a health-related discipline or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three months of related work experience.
  • Prior research or clinical experience with study participants or patients with spinal cord injury or disease is an asset.
  • Planning and project management skills are preferred.
  • Knowledge of research regulations and guidelines, including ICH/GCP, Tri-Council Policy, and others.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with a team and independently.
