Job Title: Bridge Inspection Lead

As a Bridge Inspection Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of our nation's transportation infrastructure. Your expertise will be instrumental in conducting thorough inspections of bridges, culverts, and other transportation structures, adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and conduct inspections of bridges, culverts, and other transportation structures in accordance with the Ontario Structure Inspection Manual (OSIM) and other applicable standards.
  • Complete daily Health and Safety documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and extended periods away from home.
  • Conduct structure deterioration mapping and provide recommendations for maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate records and input data into a database.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Civil3D for structural drawings and Bridge Management software for inspection data.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve project goals and schedules.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Civil Technology/Technician engineering with a strong interest in Bridge Engineering.
  • OACETT designation or eligibility.
  • P.Eng. designation an asset.
  • 4+ years of experience leading biennial inspections.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
